Damage to higher tier than you ships is worth more than ships below your tier as well. XP, and therefor credits, is earned mostly by what percentage of a ships starting health is done, if all other things are equal. If your looking for raw damage, CV's aren't going to be in the top unless you luck out and detonate something big, but raw damage doesn't really matter either. You're also playing them in Co-Op, where match lengths are notoriously short, which doesn't help matters with CV's. Normal surface ships do damage based on firing opportunities, so a BB might do most of it's damage in the span of 2 or 3 minutes. It averages out to be a lot like a battleships, provided the match goes the distance. Maybe CVs will rise again.ĬV's play the long game, they have the lowest DPM of all ships, but they get to use most of 20 minutes to inflict damage.
